OpenJDK is included by default in openSUSE but my initial impression is most Java applets encountered by most users don't function correctly with it. What is everyone else seeing? Does openJDK fulfill every one of your Java needs, or did you find the need to replace openJDK with the real Sun Java? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

no, does not. in order to get chromium beta to open, i had to replace OpenJDK with sun java. not just install sun java in addition, but i had to throw out OpenJDK, now chromium works -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Actually you can live with java sun and openjdk (even more) just setting the update-alternatives with sun as the main java vm option.
