[opensuse] notify-sharp needs a patch
Dear Opensusis, I was trying to install Sparkleshare on OpenSuse 11.4, but failed at an old version of notify-sharp. I looked for newer versions but found only notify-sharp-0.4.0-220.1.1.x86_64.rpm which does not resolve my problem. The developer of Sparkleshare told me that there exists a patch which is integrated in other distros. https://github.com/hbons/SparkleShare/issues/search?q=sparklebubbles Could you integrate that patch as well? thanks a lot Hecke

your best approach is probably to open a bug report:

osc maintainer openSUSE:11.4 notify-sharp bugowner of openSUSE:11.4/notify-sharp : --> maw
maw is most likely no doing that anymore since he left Novell/SUSE a while ago.
per@toshiba1:~> osc maintainer openSUSE:12.2 notify-sharp bugowner of openSUSE:12.2/notify-sharp : --> slluis
If it affects 12.2 as well that is your best bet. Just for reference please report back the bug id since I'll want to track that for Evergreen/11.4 since 11.4 is out of official maintenance. Dear Wolfgang, dear Per, thanks for your quick help! I now figured out (oi, shame on me...) that my 11.4 is totally lacking notify-sharp-devel. But apparently, this package is not available below 12.1 On my notebook with 12.2 compilation runs entirely smooth. So when the development package is there, no more problem. It seems that notify-sharp in 11.4 wasn't split to regular and devel package - so if you have notify-sharp you already have devel as well. But you also can take source rpm from 12.1 (or even 12.2) and rebuild for yourself on 11.4, just for test.
