I cannot get the file that failed during install to load. Running Yum I get: Timeout exceeded when accessing 'http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/42.3/repo/oss/suse/setup/des cr/appdata-icons

I have tried many times. Is this BS or did I screw up somewhere?

42.3 is certainly not EOL yet, but the URL you wrote above is certainly wrong.

Don Change the type for all repos to rpm-md run zypper clean && zypper ref and try again.

I copied my running system to the new disk and all the problems went away. I will not execute an upgrade from the DVD again, which caused all of the problems. Thanks for all the suggestions.
