Hi, I have Intel Server 875WP-1 server m/b with P4/2.4, 1 GB ECC RAM, Dual fast Ethernet on-board, and SuSE 8.2. The Ethernet adapters are recognized and configured by YaST without any problem. However, here comes the strangest thing. None of them really work, running "rcnetwork restart" results failure for one or both adapters. Even if no failure reported, they still do not work. I have installed another Realtec based Ethernet card into PCI slot, "rcnetwork restart" does not throws failure, but network still do not work. I have checked cables, switch port, another PC works without any problem. Additionally, I have disabled hyperthreading, removed k_smp kernel, upgraded all RPMs latest version from SuSE ftp (including kernel), but it did not helped either. My be 3ware RAID controller is the culprit? It seem to work fine, I have installed SuSE 8.2 on it (RAID Level 5 config).
