I am running Tumbleweed on a new laptop and just ran into something interesting. I wanted to install gparted to use as a utility, and so after setting up the install, it looks like dracut ran my system through mkinitrd. Just curious as to why - I have both Gnome and KDE installed on my system, but I did not expect this. I don't think gparted executes anything that has to do with the boot sequence, right?
