Does anyone know a driver for USB tunner mentioned above that works on openSUSE 12.2 ? The manufacturer provides the driver sources, but they are not updated and the driver does not work with newer versions of Linux kernel.

According to http://patchwork.linuxtv.org/patch/10545/ there is support for that device in the linux-media git tree. To use of that git tree you might follow the instructions on http://git.linuxtv.org/media_build.git.
PS: I haven't tested that procedure. So be careful.

The patch mentioned above is not very invasive so I guess you could apply it to your kernel with no ill effects.
