I would like to install from a DVD, but it would have to be read by an outboard drive. I can't boot from that drive. Is there any way I can boot up and then install from the DVD? Thanks dj tuchler

This is fine unless you have a laptop like mine where the DVD/Floppy share the same space. I can either have the DVD/CD plugged in or the floppy but not both at the same time. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989 SuSE since 1998 * Only reply to the list please*

Can you do a network install, with the DVD mounted in another computer?

Boot to 9.1 CD then choose manual install, load network module, choose install from network or directory, the point to that DVD. B-)
