Hello
I am trying out using Windowmaker instead of KDE. The only thing that is missing but which I pretty much need is the ability to start a new session. I mean like the "start new session" button on the KMenu. Does anyone know of a script that could be used from Windowmaker? Or even how KDE does it - is there a program or script that gets called when that

option is chosen?
Steve, if you mean like having multiple desktops then you just "right" click, select Workspace -> Workspaces -> New. This is at least how its setup on my debian box, not sure about the suse menuing. Windowmaker has a fairly nice FAQ at http://www.windowmaker.org that you might also find useful.

Thanks for your suggestion, but no, that's not what I meant. In KDE you can start an entirely new session: you get the KDM logon screen and can logon. It means that with one PC, you can leave youself logged on while someone else logs on to their account. Very useful in a family of 5!. So I am supposing there is a program or something that does it and which I could run from WM
