[opensuse] Re: configuring postscript on 11.1 - use to send mail from anywhere with login/pass
Beeing a roaming user, I would like to use my own postfix server to send mail from my laptop to the world (like I do with my present ISP) from any location (my ISP don't allow mailing from outside my country) I can now connect to the server to read the mail, but sending gives "Relay access denied". How can I allow the relay with login.passwd NB: right now I only use plain passwd (I plan to use encrypted one later) thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.org http://news.opensuse.org/2009/04/13/people-of-opensuse-jean-daniel-dodin/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Keyword: SASL. It's a little complicated to set up, but it works. I'm not sure, but I think you might have to recompile openSUSEs postfix to enable e.g. cyrus SASL. An alternative might be a pop-before-smtp solution. /Per -- Per Jessen, Zürich (25.4°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
