[opensuse] resize or edit partition on opensuse 10.2
i hv /srv with 96GB, which i miscreated it when installing. it is supposed for /home since i usually save my data on my /home folder. is it ok to resize (edit) it using YaST Partitioner? any chance of losing all data? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

If you are mangling filesystems and partitions there is always a fair chance to loose your data. So a good backup is your friend . ;-) Apart from this, you can alternatively simply exchange /srv and /home (just for example) by using fstab (and, of course renaming and using the original file access rights) and then you have 96GB in /home without changing anything in regard to your partition/filesystem layout. regards Eberhard -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
