I am using SuSE 8.2 in a Compaq armada 1560DM pentium mmx laptop

But I am trying to use an RT8139 ethernet pcmcia but is imposible for me to reach network

I inserted in my laptop before boot and is detected and I have the chance of configuration but when in root shell i use:

ping -c 2  192.168.0.1

I get

Network not reachable.

in boot I can read

eth-0                  hotplug

well do you know where I should compile it and how?
