How do I print to a Canon GP215 or GP285 or iR2200i
Hello :) How do I print to a Canon GP215 or GP285 or iR2200i? My OS is Suse 9 Pro. I can not find a driver for these printers on Canons website. Any help would be great. rgds Jacob

With great difficulty methinks. :(

Canon has poor CUPS support. Even www.turboprint.de does not list these three printers as supported. I suggest trying various Canon CUPS printers through Yast->Hardware->Printers and see if you can print an ASCII file to them. This isn't a SuSE problem but a *IX problem. Canon thinks the world is on Windows or MAC. Good luck. Canon Denmark told me to use a PCL 5e driver. I can find it in Yast, but what should I do to configure it? And how do I find out what queue to use? rgds Jacob

You might try IBM's Omni drivers for Linux. I don't have a URL though.
