After the answers to my question on Okular 0.15, I would like to do a KDE upgrade. I have opensuse 12.2. Before proceeding I would like to check if I am not doing anything dumb.
From https://en.opensuse.org/KDE_repositories I just learned which
repos I need to add. I read that before adding the new repos I must disable the two repos:
KDE:Extra
KDE:UpdatedApps
The above are the only active repos with "KDE" in the name that I have.
To disable a repository I only need to unckeck the "Enabled" option in Yast / Software Repositories, or should I delete the repository without cheking "Keep Downloaded Packages"?
Finally, just to double check, such upgrade is "stable" and usually happens without issues, right?
Thanks

I think the repo you want for 4.9.4 release1 is:
[Code} http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Release:/49/openSUSE_12.2/ [/Code]
at least thats the one I used and 4.9.4 is good so far.

I think I am missing something. I followed the simple steps above, and before doing so I removed the 2 KDE repositories I had (i.e., I deleted the repos, keeping the files, using yast).
After using "zypper ref", a few packages were quickly updated (in a few seconds) and it stoped without any warning message as if the job was well done. Is this? Am I already using kde 4.9? I see no difference nowhere. Also, I am still with Okular 0.14.
In Yast, I can change the repository of okular. If I do that, a warning message appears saying "okular 4.9.4-1.1.x86_64 requires kdebase4-runtime >= 4.9.4 but this requirement cannot be provided". Just below the red warning, four options appear, the first one with a list of diverse replacements of files.
What should I do to complete the upgrade to KDE 4.9.4 (and finally enable okular 0.15)?
Thanks

Have you used the switcher on R49?

Oops! I was worried with disabling the previous repos and forgot to do this step. Thanks. Now the update was done! And I have okular 0.15.
