[opensuse] thunderbird in TW
Ok, with my new TW installation, I received the higher version of Thunderbird for email - it is 59.2. Problem - the lightning calendar addon that is downloadable from Mozilla has the highest max thunderbird version that it is compatible with as 52.9, not 59.2. However, this link https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Calendar/Calendar_Versions indicates that there is a stable release of Lightning available all the way up to thunderbird 62.0. So, if I upgrade lightning to the highest stable release, I should be able to run the lightning calendar addon. Problem - I cannot find where to actually download that higher stable release. The link I posted there only says it has been released. It has instructions on how to click on the link and go to the "development channel," but going there (which I assume is the same as the "developer home", as that is the only thing that sounds almost like "development channel"), there is no indication anywhere that I can find of the latest "stable" releases for download. So the other option is to downgrade thunderbird to an earlier version, one that is not available in tumbleweed. I don't really know how feasible that is Any ideas? I want to stick with tumbleweed because I can finally use my mouse pad and the graphics look nicer, as well as it being generally smoother and faster (IMHO). -- George Box: 42.3 | KDE Plasma 5.8 | AMD Phenom IIX4 | 64 | 32GB Laptop #1: TW | Plasma 5.13 | AMD FX 7TH GEN | 64 | 32GB Laptop #2: 42.3 | KDE Plasma 5.8 | Core i5 | 64 | 8GB -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
