When I want to print a text file, I copy its content into a print template, in
between the <pre></pre> tags, and adjust the print size and font in the template
before printing the file from a web browser:

In the past (and current KDE3) kwrite/kate print in the font size selected in
the editor. You can explicitly set the header and footer font size
independently with the [Choose Font] butter under the Header/Footer tab of the
print dialog.

If current kde isn't sending the selected font size information to the printer
when you print -- that is a bug.

If you think the recent Qt5/6 debacle has been scary ... just wait until Gtk4
(no + in name anymore -- the teacher would no longer give it one when it was
turned in for a grade...).
