As a student with no family support $80 is hard to come by, so I was merely asking if it was like many of the other distros which allow this to be done. I did not realize this was such a touchy issue, sorry. You can stop flaming now, thanks. oh dear Lord. I was NOT flaming you. I was informing you. Why is when people get an answer they don't like it's called flaming and when the get an answer they agree with it's the right answer. You don't have to spend $80. Spend $50 once or twice a year. BTW...sorry for coming off as an ass. It's just that everytime SuSE has a release we get tons of "why doesn't SuSE give us their distribution for free via .iso " questions for the 2 months afterwards. After 2+ years since SuSE stopped giving .iso's .. it's become annoying. I didn't mean to be mean... :: ::I agree that SuSE does a great job and deserves their money. They are one of the few software companies that I have no quorums about paying for their reasonably priced, and stable product. They are by far my favorite distro, but I am strapped for cash and wanted to test drive the 8.0, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask...guess I was wrong, sorry. My best advice for this is to make the bootdisks and do a network install since you have a cable modem. It's the easiest way. -=Ben --=====-----=====-- mailto:ben@whack.org --=====-- If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say that the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little. -GC --=====-----=====--
