Did you actually read the story attached to that? "Reviewing code is a hard, unrewarding, tough thing to do. It really makes you grumpy and rude in a very short period of time"
I've been there myself. Not in the kernel space (don't know kernel hacking, don't want to know it) but in user space. When you're pressed from all sides, and the things you're expected to comment on is just too stupid, eventually you will forget decorum and just explode
