Unusual as it may appear ;-) Im sending this from pine via fetchmail! my .fetchmailrc
poll connix.com protocol auto username myusername password ******* mda "/usr/bin/procmail -d " the setup file is in /usr/doc/packages/pop/fetchmail/contrib
that was just *way* too easy ;-) rob
Hey, after playing around, and looking at the fetchmail faq, I found even an easier way, (for single user that is)... no procmail needed!!!! Try: mda "cat >>~/Mail/inbox" flush then set Pine up to use that inbox. and to cheat even more, let a user run sendmail by chowning it to group "dialout"; then setup pine so the smtp server line is blank; so that pine dumps the outgoing emails into /var/mqueue. I know that this is simple stuff, but I feel a great sense of accomplishment knowing I can do command line mail now. - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
