a while back I was playing with 2.4 kernels and upgraded

modutils on my 7.0 box, for one reason or another, i need to stay with

kernel 2.2.16.....now i find certain dri modules won't load when X starts

because x can't find the modprobe command? can i revert back to the original 7.0

modutils package? how?

I think that you can find the entire 7.0 distribution on the SuSE website.   I believe that modutils is  in either series "a" or series "aaa_base".   Or you can find it in full-names.
