For the past 24 hours or so, I've had some messages that take over 1/2 hour to reach the list, while some get there in 2 secs. Is anyone else seeing this?
At random times on random lists to which I subscribe, often on a particular few.
What could cause this?
Busy server? Random backups along the route? DMARC-related activity in the email distribution pathways? http://dmarc.org/overview.html http://www.pcworld.com/article/2141120/yahoo-email-antispoofing-policy-break... https://ml.mageia.org/l/arc/dev/2014-07/msg00340.html I think we have past the time when email was reliable so that you could assume the mail you send actually reaches its intended recipient. I lost the ability to send/receive to/from the TDE mailing list with this long used earthlink.net email account in December. It still seems to work OK with the other 70 or so mailing lists I subscribe to, but with so many it's hard to be sure there aren't other failures. I'm able to post in the TDE list now only as a result of having created a new email account independently of my ISP using the Google email system instead, and resubbing with the new address. Even so, I don't think I can yet rely on the other address for using the TDE list. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
