I agree.... I never moved away from sendmail, myself... ;-)
Only hiccup I had was in some upgrade my access rules got
thrashed and someone found a way to route emails through my
server...Seems the upgrade didn't move forward old values...
Oh yeah, and recently there was a bad thing about ntpd being
used to flood people because you can have ntpd remotely
dump a log of everyone who has contacted it in some previous
period of time... That was just a matter of restricting some
remote administrative queries that should have shipped that way,
but who would'a' thought of using ntpd for DoS's?
