Hi all I prepared the kernel and am now trying to install the alsa driver however I get this at make install: make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/alsa/alsa-driver-0.9.6/pcmcia' /sbin/depmod -a 2.4.20-4GB -F /lib/modules/2.4.20-64GB-SMP/build/System.map depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.20-4GB/kernel/drivers/media/radio/miropcm20.o if [ -L /usr/include/sound ]; then \ rm -f /usr/include/sound; \ ln -sf /usr/src/alsa/alsa-driver-0.9.6/include/sound /usr/include/sound; \ else \ rm -rf /usr/include/sound; \ install -d -m 755 -g root -o root /usr/include/sound; \ for f in include/sound/*.h; do \ install -m 644 -g root -o root $f /usr/include/sound; \ done \ fi install: invalid group `root' install: invalid group `root' install: invalid group `root' install: invalid group `root' install: invalid group `root' install: invalid group `root' install: invalid group `root' install: invalid group `root' install: invalid group `root' install: invalid group `root' install: invalid group `root' install: invalid group `root' install: invalid group `root' install: invalid group `root' install: invalid group `root' install: invalid group `root' install: invalid group `root' <snip> install: invalid group `root' make: *** [install-headers] Error 1 Anybody got any ideas what this means and how I sort it out? If I was to stab in the dark I would say its a problem with a media/radio module in the kernel config.
