I need to do the following, but don't want to switch to KDM: Set this DISPLAYMANAGER_KDM_LOCALARGS="-core" in /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager and also you have to switch to kdm. (Or investigate how to pass arguments to X via gdm or whatever you use.) When you have everything all right, ps should show Xorg -br :0 vt7 ... -core. Now it generates core files on crashes. You can set locations of those by: sysctl kernel.core_pattern=/core Is there any /core* after the freeze occurs? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
