I have a USB mouse from a company in the NW US that shall rename nameless and I'm using a Dell laptop... however, I'm using SLED 10 and at random times, it will power off. Then it won't "powerup" - the light goes off, the mouse doesn't work... This also happens if I say unplug the USB mouse, then try to plug it back in.

Plugging it into a different port doesn't work. In fact, the same happens with USB hard drives (although haven't had them power down) - if I unplug one, then try to plug it back in I get nothing...

Any ideas what's causing this? Is there a way to restart usb with udev or something?
