Hi Kevin et al... Thanks for the idea, but it did not help at all. What I am trying to do is to get the "Load data local infile" working. To get this working I have to add "-- local-infile=1" as an option to mysqld when I boot the system. My problem is WHERE do I put that !"§$! thing? I've been fiddling with this for the past 2-3 days. I hope that someone from SuSE (or mysql) happens to read this and takes pity on me. <G> Thanks JIM On Wednesday 03 September 2003 20:56, Kevin Donnelly wrote:

You could try /etc/my.conf, but it depends on what you want to change. --
