Exactly the same experience here. At least on my development laptop and a couple servers.

The trickier part in deploying Tumbleweed everywhere is that we do a binary install of our software (a huge package with hundreds of programs). Staying at the same version of the things that are Tumbleweed when the systems are off line and need to be updated at different times would be a logistic nightmare.

So we are looking forward to slowroll. I have not had a chance to test what it currently is. It's on my list.
