Me too, but some people never adapt and buy a mouse.
I was introduced to trackballs in 1965 and I never liked them,
especially the ones where there's a small ball for the thumb.
For my uncoordinated self, I find it easier to control the cursor
with a traditional mouse.
I'm also weird in that I'm right-handed, but use my left hand
for the mouse. I remember when I first started using a GUI
and mouse with SunOS around 1986, I figured that since my
right hand was used more to hit the "Enter" key, I might as
well split the workload and let my left command the mouse.
I don't like touchpads either.
