will plasmoids still exist on kde6 or have they been abolished?
It is clear to me that there will be a period of transition but kde6 does not
seem to have the menu points (right click) "join plasmoid" at all.

Anybody knows?

Yes, plasmoids will still exist as per KDE channel on Libera IRC.

Lot's just haven't been ported. most are waiting on just a few line changes due to things being renamed.

 I've seen a good few p6 plasmoids posted just this week. at least 10.

Now I will learn more about plasmoids myself.
