I installed 15.1 on a laptop, to an external disk via usb-c, but there
was a internal Linux system as well. The external was intended for
rescue and backup operations. I did hibernate the machine in this state,
but I did not move it (nor unplug the disk), and not sure this instant
if it used the internal swap space or the external.

One little nuisance is that updates (to kernel or grub) would make the
external the default disk system and I had a little trouble booting the
internal till I reverted that detail (efibootmanager or similar name).
