Hey Group; I have a very new system with a ASUS motherboard and a ATX power supply. I have load both SuSE 8.2 and Winblows 98 as a dual boot system Nothing strange at all. Problem is that I have look through Yast2 for something relevant to shutting the ATC power "OFF" and not just "REBOOT". I have a stock SuSE 8.2 kernel and modules - I have in bios ACPI and not PIC. However, acpi and apic are off in grub. (So that the sound and ethernet would work). Can someone offer a info on how this process works? I think older versions of yast had a way to control this function -- 73 de Donn Washburn __ " http://www.hal-pc.org/~n5xwb " Ham Callsign N5XWB / / __ __ __ __ __ __ __ 307 Savoy St. / /__ / / / / / / /_/ / \ / / Sugar Land, TX 77478 /_____/ /_/ /_/__/ /_____/ /_/_\ LL# 1.281.242.3256 a MSDOS Virus "Free Zone" OS Email: n5xwb@hal-pc.org Info: http://www.knoppix.net
