Hi, have you been able to resolve your issue? I just stumbled upon your question as I need to install a new galera cluster. I have the advantage of having two new servers to install everything from scratch and just import the database dump if the cluster is up (at least that's my theory).
The main question is, witch packages do I have to remove/install to be able to configure the servers? I already went to https://software.opensuse.org/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=galera&search_devel=false&search_unsupported=false&baseproject=openSUSE%3ALeap%3A42.2 But I got confused and didn't realize what do I have to do.
Do I need to remove MariaDB and install a brand new package? Please, can someone show me the right packages I have to install? Is there any documentation on how can I achieve this working?
I found this guide [1] to migrate your database to Galera, but I didn't really go through the details. I just thought this could probably be of help for you. Considering the package question, I believe you need the 10.2.13 version of mariadb (so an upgrade) and additionally install mariadb-galera, you can find that in [2]. This creates a file in /etc/my.cnf.d/50-galera.cnf containing the required wsrep (and other) config options. The repo mentioned in [2] is not the official repo, I assume you could also use the official repo for leap-15 [3], it's the same version (10.2.13), but I don't know if that is an option and if this could lead to data inconsistencies or other problems. So be careful as I did not test it! Maybe someone with more experience can also shed some light on this.
