That's not the floppy. It should be "/dev/fd0".
Telcontar:~ # mount -v /mnt/floppy
mount: /dev/fd0 is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: /dev/fd0 mounted on /mnt/floppy.
Telcontar:~ # ls /mnt/floppy
AUTOEXE2.BAT AUTOEXEC.BAT CONFIG.SYS EGA.CPI HIMEM.SYS IO.SYS KEYBOARD.SYS MODE.COM
MSCDEX.EXE MSDOS.SYS PARTINFO.EXE PTEDIT.EXE command.com
