just to elaborate more on my previous post, <br>i get the following warning on installation:<br>warning: this system has at least one hard disk with a raid configuration presented by the bios as raid that is in fact a software raid. 
<br>the following disks were detected as part of such a raid:<br><br>/dev/hda /dev/sda /dev/sdc<br><br>the linux kernel 2.4 supported some of these systems (like promise fastrack and highpoint rocketraid).<br>but the linux kernel 
2.6 does not support them at all.<br><br>if you install onto these disks, your raid configuration and any data on the raid will be lost-<br>refer to <a href="http://portal.suse.com">http://portal.suse.com</a> to learn how to migrate
<br>to a linux software raid.<br><br>the thing is that, ive got 6 drives plugged in, 2 ide and 4 sata on an msi k8n diamond.<br>some of these drives were in use in various scenarios of which one was on an asus k7v880 mobo
<br>running on via raid with windows. <br><br>now i used knoppix and used fdisk to repartition the disks just to make sure, but still on boot<br>i get that warning, how can i resolve or fix that?<br><br clear="all"><br>--
