The nice thing about gopchop is that it does not decode/encode the
file. It just cuts out whatever is between GOP markers. So it is fast,
there is no degredation of the results, and whatever was in the source
is in the destination.
Avidemux does the same if you use "copy" (subject to the limitations of
the source material). I have used Avidemux (now or version 3) with no
problems.
