Hi everybody. I am trying to install osm2mp a converter program for openstreetmap (vs garmin) on opensuse Leap 15. The page of osm gives following advice (that does not tell me a lot about what they do there) and I would like to know if somebody tried it, has any experience with it, knows whether the indicated way is viable for leap:
Well you don't tell us exactly what instructions you are referring to, so it's difficult to be sure, but assuming you are referring to https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Osm2mp#OpenSUSE then the bit you have missed is actually installing the osm2mp perl program: svn co https://github.com/liosha/osm2mp osm2mp and you might also follow the link to the forum discussion that is mentioned and gives a lot more information.
Indications are: OpenSUSE Open terminal app and enter following commands:
su zypper in perl-YAML perl -MCPAN -e "install List::MoreUtils" perl -MCPAN -e "install Text::Unidecode" perl -MCPAN -e "install Data::Dump" perl -MCPAN -e "install Math::Polygon" perl -MCPAN -e "install Inline::MakeMaker" perl -MCPAN -e "install Math::Geometry::Planar::GPC::Polygon" perl -MCPAN -e "install Math::Polygon::Tree" perl -MCPAN -e "install Tree::R"
Does this still work in leap 15? (seems to be just a collection of perl scripts?
As you say, it's just a collection of perl modules that are needed by the perl program (i.e. it's apparently a pure perl application). As such it will work on pretty much any system. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
