Hi all,

So I have this XP machine laying around for the sole purpose of capturing videos of my Sony DV using a firewire card.  And then editing that using various video editing tools and finally making a DVD movie.

I want to move this onto my opensuse 11.0 box.

Now I know the firewire card is supported and I can get it to recognize the Sony DV - but what software is out there that gives me some of the basic editing functionality?  I want to be able to create text, add music, etc..

Thoughts?
