Hi Folks
Perhaps someone has a simple solution to my problem, I have a new T40 and 2 HDD's, one attached as normal the other fit's in the UltraBay (but to do that you have to remove the CD , so I replace the 1st and install Linux , all cool boots OK, I then replace the HDD and try to Boot off the Linux HDD that is now in the Ultrabay ,
I get a kernel panic because Linux cannot find any of the files on this drive as it's been called HDC , it's looking for the files to be on HDA which of course has the MS stuff on it.
Is it possible to change the Boot so that it is happy been on HDC ?, if not and a reinstall is required how do I do a network install ???.
Regards
Gerard Ceruti
