LibreOffice 5.3.3.2-1.2 freezes on the initial loading window. I checked /var/log/messages and it's no longer there. I ran Yast to update OpenOffice, but the broken dependencies seem to never end.
Any ideas where to look?
Please expand the information re "broken dependencies".
I am so totally lost here that I don't know what to send. I'm not finding a printable log in Yast, either in /var/log/Yast2 or anywhere in the program. The LibreOffice update conflict resolution starts with libreoffice-qt5-6 requires libQt5Core.so.5, with an Uninstallable providers: libQT5Core5-5xxxx; followed by conflict resolution choices. It doesn't matter how I try to resolve the conflicts; choosing any action returns more conflicts than I've ever seen before. I imagine something is broken, but I have no idea what.
Ok, what openSUSE version are you using?
List of repositories. Post "zypper lr --details". If the lines wrap, try this instead:
zypper lr --details > somefile.txt
and attach the somefile.txt to the mail.
Or, Thundrbird, tools, addons, isntall "Toggle Word Wrap". A new option will appear under Menu "Options".
Then you can paste the text and disable wrap so that we can read easily the long lines of that command.
Leap 42.3
somefile.txt attached.
What's strange is I haven't added or updated anything on this system in months. I booted today to access an importat spreadsheet and can't get anything from LibreOffice.
I've had some inaccessible repositories after installing 42.3, and they are disabled.
Jim OK, what I suspected: a Tumbleweed repo, and active. You now have a mix of TW and Leap, which is definitely not going to work. Remove no. 1 and run zypper dup
