Thanks a lot!

Hello openSUSE users,

installed the recent apache updates

apache2-event-2.4.51-150400.6.40.1.x86_64     Sun Nov 10 08:59:57 2024
apache2-utils-2.4.51-150400.6.40.1.x86_64     Sun Nov 10 08:59:55 2024
apache2-2.4.51-150400.6.40.1.x86_64           Sun Nov 10 08:59:55 2024

after updating apache gives the following error on startup

Nov 10 09:40:24 cx20 start_apache2[5895]: httpd-event: Syntax error in -C/-c
directive: Syntax error on line 33 of
/etc/apache2/sysconfig.d/loadmodule.conf: Cannot load
/usr/lib64/apache2-event/mod_http2.so into server:
/usr/lib64/apache2-event/mod_http2.so: undefined symbol: ap_thread_create

the file/symlink is there

/usr/lib64/apache2-event/mod_http2.so -> /usr/lib64/apache2/mod_http2.so

disabling mod_http2 via a2dismod http2 let's apache start again but the
http2 feature is then missing

the startup flag HTTP2 is also set in /etc/sysconfig/apache

downgrading makes apache with mod_http2 working again

apache2-event-2.4.51-150400.6.37.1.x86_64     Sun Nov 10 10:48:13 2024
apache2-utils-2.4.51-150400.6.37.1.x86_64     Sun Nov 10 10:48:11 2024
apache2-2.4.51-150400.6.37.1.x86_64           Sun Nov 10 10:48:11 2024

what is needed to make mod_http2 work with the most recent apache update?

thanks
& with best regards
Becki
