I use these Maxspeed terminals in my SCO OS5 based professional office.
They are an excellent affordable maintenance free option to PC's
Distance was the limitation (1st 100' then 200' - now 500') and
fluorescent light fitting interference (since they transmit compressed
video signals over unshielded Cat 5 cable). You need a four port board
for every 4 terminals. It cost me I think $750 for the board and $250
for the station 'pizza box' with the ports for the local devices.
My first call to them after firing them up a year ago was - When do we
get these on Linux !=20
Glad to know that Linux is now seen as a valid market.
