I wanted to use gimp and ran into a problem because xscanimage was not available. When I tried to remake, it complained that gtk-config was not available on my system. After doing a 'find' on the complete system, I realized it wasn't there although gtk was installed. I downloaded the latest version of gtk, ran ./configure and then did a make. Viola, the gtk-config file was available. I did a ./configure in the sane directory, and I got an error that it could not find gtk and it advised I check my path or set GTK_CONFIG to the path of the gtk-config file. I chose the latter option. I also note taht when I did a make, no bin directory was created for gtk, however I had no make errors. Now, when I try to make sane again, I still get the same errors concerning GTK. Does anyone know what is happening? --- Welcome to my virtual reality! darkstar(a)charm.net Edwin Brown http://www.charm.net/~darkstar> - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo(a)suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e --===============2323621813421487720==--
