What is left out when making/compiling a new kernel using=20
make config
make clean ; make dep ; make zlilo (i may have gotten clean and dep
backwards, i forget right now)
versus the list of twelve steps you had? I've compiled using the
shorter method, and it worked fine (i know, because ppp was in the new
kernel, and isn't by default).
