Hello, folks!
I have just yesterday installed the dmsdos package that allows you to
mount DoubleSpace (1/2), DriveSpace (3) and Stacker (3/4) partitions in
Linux and after finally having read the right documentation fist (and
consequently reinstalled the kernel half a dozen times ;)) it works
beutifully, so I would like to see it integrated into S.u.S.E. Linux 5.3
for easier co-exsistance with Win95/98 and other Compressed DOS volumes.
It can be found here:
ftp://fb9nt.uni-duisburg.de/pub/linux=
/dmsdos>
And it would be great if it could come as a precompiled module and
applied patch to the kernel. It's not much that needs to be done, and I
guess RPM could take care of the patching? Then, an easy setup interface
in YaST, and of couse filesystem loopback support on as default would
pretty much do it!
What do the rest of you think about this?
