I tried minix and ext2 as the filesystems, but it cannot mount it. I want to experiment with replacing the kernel with a custom one...don't ask why! Again, I mean the install disk that comes with it, not the one you create with yast. The rescue disk is a compressed image and cannot be mounted except as a loop device. This is all in the manual, under creating boot disk, and rescue system. The command to mount the boot disk should be, as root: mount -t minix /dev/fd0 /mnt - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo(a)suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <= A HREF=3D"http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/http://www.suse.com/Suppo= rt/Doku/FAQ/> and the archiv at htt= p://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html> --===============7503556498136325462==--
