Have you tried finding information about apache at http://www.apache.org> ??
There I found some useful information on how to install and how to configure =
the server. For installation especially http://=
www.apache.org/docs/install.html>
is useful ... Additional information can be found at: http://www.apache.o=
rg/docs>
In my case this documents were enough to get it running in one day. But if
you don't want compiling a new version try the delivered one. It works well.
Please mind that you have to reconfigure some parts of the source code.

If the server is already the nameserver for your intranet use it.
See /etc/resolv.conf ....

You just have to install the bind package.
