I think that the LS120's are ATAPI devices. Make sure that you have
installed drivers for those. There might be a HOWTO at the LDP.
Go to http://www.ssc.com/linux> and search around a little bit for a
reference to the Linux Documentation Project, then look for HOWTOs. I
think I remember seeing one for ATAPI devices. Mostly ATAPI devices are
CDROMs, so the docs might lean toward that.

By the way, 2 different stores have these drives for 49.99 after rebate.
