Hello Jim [SuSE],
Lucky for me I am a student right now. I have bought WP7 and Applix4.3
student version. Applix on the cover: 'complete, integrated and fully
graphical office suite, which includes Word Processor, Spreedsheet,
Presentation Graphics, Mail and Development tools. Now I don't
know much about M$ publisher and I dunno if I can compare and say
that applix can do the same thing that publisher can do. So I won't.
I do know it installs simply into SuSE5.0 and 5.1 and not sure what
kernel it actually needs, it did work fine with 2.0.30+
Thats all I can say about applix, other than it is pretty decent, never
crashed on me and runs under X, thou it could be a bit more user friendly.
WP 7 is all of the good stuff your used to in a word processor.
and installs easy.
Now a few more needed applications get devloped or upgraded from
thier other OS (operating systems) and maybe a few more games :)
I will have no need for other OSs
