Subject: [S.u.S.E. Linux] Trouble with Netscape mail function

Now that I have a ppp connection with ATT Worldnet (thanks to the good
advice I received from this group), I'd like to set up Netscape 4.04
(Navigator/Communicator) to handle my e-mail, but when I tell it that
my incoming mail is handled by postoffice.worldnet.att.net, I get an
error message telling me that Netscape never heard of postoffice etc.
So I must be doing something radically wrong, and I would appreciate
some more good advice.
Thanks in advance.

Bill,
You have to be online for this to work - both mail and news need the
connection to your ISP to set those preferences. That's Netscape's
idea not Linux.

Thanks very much. Perhaps Netscape says somewhere that you have to be
online; if so, I missed it. =20

hey Bill
Netscape won't take most changes to prefs without quitting and
restarting... yet
