Anyone hava a PCI Realteck 8029 working with Linux? Is it compatible
with any other network card?
I know zentara wrote that he (she?) got it. zentara, could you please

Thanks.

I have a longshine pci network card that seems to have thatchipset (uses
"realtek 8029" driver on win95). It is detected successfully on my system
using
the Ne2000 kernel module.
Hope this helps.

I suppose your Realtek 8029 NE2000 compatible PCI network card. I'm using
this and is not exactly PnP.
I got it working with the following step:
1. Have you kernel compile with ne.o module support.
2. "cat /proc/pci" # to check on the parameter for your card
=============
PCI devices found:
Bus 0, device 18, function 0:
Ethernet controller: Realtek 8029 (rev 0).
Medium devsel. IRQ 9.
I/O at 0xfce0.
==================
There you have your io=0xfce0 irq=9
So when you load your ne.o module, put in the parameters of your network
card.
Hope this helps.
