I lived in Bleialf, on the Belgium border North of Bitburg aboaut 50 km. for
5 jahren. Bitte ein Bit. 1976 to 1982. Now home in Florida. Miss the
Dunkel
the most! Those very dark, rich beers are a meal in themselves, and good
German beers are unbeatable. The third best in the world is the light beer
brewed by monks
over near Fulda on the top of a solitary mountain. Kroitzberg Monastery, I
think.
Makes me thirsty to think of it! The only close comparison in richness is
homemade
pumpernikel bread for the Dunkel, and medium rye for the light beers.
